The Island is based at a minimum distance from the shore of about 3,4 KM(Procida canne) and it is connected by a little bridge with the Vivara Island.
Its coasts sandy and not too deep , in same parts directly oonj the rocks give life to different bays and mountains which offer a good stall for the short sailing boats and which gave life to 3 little ports on the Northern part , Eats and Southern of the island .All the natural marine area is protected by the Nettuno Reign.
Traditionally the inhabited centre is divided into 9 quarters called “ gracies:terra Murata( the most ancient one), Corricella (fishermen quarter),Sent’co with the commercial little port Marina Grande,San Leonardo, Santissima Annunziata (Also known as Madonna della Libera), Sant’Antuono , Sant’Antonio e Chiaiolella ( a touristic port based in the southern part of the island).
